Lately, my life feels a bit like I signed up for the circus – a constant balancing act.

I am a mama. A new wife. Right now, I am on maternity leave and craving rest, softness, and slow days, yet I remain driven. I want to grow. I want to move forward in my career. I keep catching myself thinking about extra income opportunities, how to learn new skills, and how I can build something that feels aligned with who I am now.

I never thought I’d say this, but I’m a student again. I’m trying to fit wellness and self-care for mothers into my busy days, in ways that feel supportive, not punishing or undoable. I’m showing up as a mama, a friend, a daughter, a sister, a partner – all while learning how to take care of myself without the guilt.

At this point in my life, I am very much in my “soft girl era” – choosing calm over chaos, and intention over burnout. This blog was created right in the middle of it all.

Not because I have everything all figured out – but because I don’t.

A Little About Me

My name is Hunter, and I am a mom of three: Leia (7), LJ (2), and Arya (10 weeks). I am currently on maternity leave from my hospital nursing job, where I work as a Registered Nurse on a medical unit. I earned my Bachelor of Nursing through Humber/UNB, and I am now a Social Media Marketing student at Conestoga College.

Outside of my professional life, I am passionate about women’s wellness in all its forms. I love movement, whether that’s strength training, Pilates, or simply a stretch. I love spas, saunas, and anything that feels grounding and restorative. I enjoy beauty and self-care, from skincare to makeup to getting my nails done. Anything that makes me feel good. I also love food – cooking at home, dining out, and planning vacations around good cuisine.

All of these pieces are a part of my real life, and I wanted to create a space that reflects that honestly.

What You’ll Find Here

This blog is about creating a sense of balance through realistic routines and intentional self-care.

Some days I’m a coffee girly. Some days I want tea. And some days, I want wine or a fun cocktail. I believe realistic wellness leaves room for all of it, and that living a soft-girl lifestyle doesn’t mean you have to give up your goals or structure.

Here, you’ll find:

o   Practical tips and advice

o   Relatable content for women and mothers

o   Evidence-based information

o   Personal experiences and real-life routines for mothers

Everything you find will be centred around self-care for moms, postpartum wellness, nutrition, movement, and fitness for busy moms and women – shared in a way that feels accessible, gentle, and supportive.

Why This Space Exists

I created this blog to help women, especially mothers, embrace their soft girl era while feeling empowered, confident, and capable.

This space is all about balancing motherhood and self-care without guilt or comparison. It’s a calm, welcoming place for women who want to slow down, feel good, and build wellness routines that actually fit into their lives.

My hope is that this blog feels like a nice, deep breath. A gentle reminder that rest is allowed, softness is actually strength, and you do not need to be perfect to feel well.

You’re Welcome Here
